Clare Housing endeavors to provide compassionate care, a safe and peaceful environment, and comfortable accommodations to persons coping with the disabilities of HIV/AIDS.  Our staff and volunteers help residents and tenants stay as active and involved in life as they wish and are able to be.  We respect the diverse cultures, religious preferences, and socio-economic backgrounds of everyone we serve, as well as extend support and comfort to their family and friends. At Clare Housing, everyone has the right and the responsibility to live in harmony with others.

Clare Housing responds to the changing epidemic and growing needs of people living with HIV/AIDS with comprehensive housing opportunities and support services that help them manage their health and their lives.

Park House is a structured mental health/day health program open Monday through Thursday to serve the adult HIV/AIDS community.  We are housed in the beautifully restored 1900's Crosby Mansion were we provide a comprehensive program in a warm and friendly home atmosphere.  Highlights of the Park House program include:

  • Supportive nursing care - health assessment, health education, assistance with medication issues, corrdination of care with physicians and other providers.
  • Recreation and complimentary therapies - recreational therapy, shiatsu, exercise, massage, community outings and events.
  • Personal and nutritional support - breakfast and lunch, self-care and adaptation skills, coordination of treatment plans/goals with other providers
  • Emotional support and psychotherapy - Recovery support group, psychological assessment/treatment/referral, psychoeducational groups, spiritual support group
